The Dr.Prem Reddy Family Foundation donates $100,000 to one generation members-profit organization that is dedicated to enriching lives and provides social service programs integrating intergenerational activities between seniors, children, and families throughout the San Fernando Valley.
The donation was announced March 27 at the ONEgeneration Spring Gala event at the Skirball Cultural Center. Prime Healthcare Services with Dr. Prem Reddy and their family were honored with the "Enriching Lives Award." The $100,000 donation represents the largest sum ever bestowed to the non-profit organization.
The Dr. Prem Reddy Family Foundation is a non-profit public charity that was founded by Dr. Prem Reddy and his family, reflecting their commitment to give back to the communities they serve. "It is an honor to support such a worthwhile cause so closely tied to the mission of our Foundation and our hospitals," said Prem Reddy, MD, Chairman, President and CEO of Prime Healthcare. "Both ONEgeneration and Prime Healthcare share a similar mission of enriching the lives of seniors and their families with compassionate care throughout the communities we serve."
The Spring Gala attracted over 300 health-care professionals and business associates and included Congressman Brad Sherman and Assembly member Matt Dabaneh. Also in attendance were C. Duane Dauner, Chief Executive Officer of the California Hospital Association, and Mark Gamble, Vice President of the Hospital Association of Southern California.
ONEgeneration has been serving the greater San Fernando Valley community since 1978. It recently established a partnership with Prime Healthcare's Sherman Oaks Hospital and Encino Hospital Medical Center to develop collaborative opportunities that support the healthcare needs and well-being of San Fernando Valley residents. Encino Hospital in its commitment to serve the special needs of seniors and their families has recently launched the first Geriatric Emergency Department with Geriatric Inpatient program in California.
"ONEgeneration is extremely proud of Dr.Prem Reddy, his family and Prime Healthcare, and the critically important healthcare services they provide to so many communities. We applaud their innovation, dedication, and persistence and are appreciative of our collaborative efforts," said Eva Chow Goetz, CEO of ONEgeneration.
Money raised at the gala will support ONEgeneration programs throughout the San Fernando Valley. For more information on ONEgeneration, please visit www.onegeneration.org.
